I am sure you'll all agree that living in this country means that even in the summer months your not guaranteed great weather. So whenever your wedding day, remember planning is key, plan for the worst and nothing can spoil your day

* A back up plan is an absolute must, and loving it as much as your original is just as important! Its important to have a backup plan just in case things don't exactly go your way, but make sure it's something that you will love equally. It's no point planning something that you really aren't going to happy with and that will put a downer on your day.

* If your planning a spring or summer outdoor wedding, but your unsure what the weather will bring, a marquee with drop down flaps is a great option. Or if your venue has large outdoor space that you able to use, add some tent cover so that you can take your wedding outdoors if you choose.

* If you are planning a marquee wedding on a field or on the grounds of a hotel, make sure that you have floor and overhead coverage (a walkway) to and from the car park so that guests aren't walking on wet grass. This will cost extra but will be worth it, there's nothing worse than pouring rain and getting your stiletto heels stuck in the mud.

* Invest in large white wedding umbrellas to keep you all covered after all you've spent a good 10% of your wedding budget on your wedding dress, hair and makeup as well as that of your bridal party.. Umbrella are also a great accessories and can help create fantastic wedding photos.

* Not only are umbrellas a must for you and your wedding team, they can also make great wedding favours for your guests especially if they will be waiting outside for any amount of time (outside the church for example). If you aren't able to buy them as favours, hire them out just for the day.

* Quirky wellies for you and your wedding party, a great plan for those outdoor wedding photos giving them a creative edge. They also make fabulous bridesmaid gifts.!

* Bring the outdoors if the weather prevents you from having an outdoor wedding? Pretty flowers, topiary trees, fruit centrepieces, birdcages filled with flowers and love bird decor etc.

* Trust your venue ( wedding planner or banquet coordinator) to make the right decisions if the the weather takes a turn for the worst. Let them know (make it very clear) any specific wishes you have and trust them to carry it out.

With great wedding planning, nothing can spoil your big day
