How to Make Beer Salt
- 1). Measure 1/4 cup popcorn salt, which is finely ground salt, into a plastic zip-top bag. Open four packets of powdered lime and empty the contents into the bag.
- 2). Zip the bag closed. Shake the bag vigorously to mix together the salt and lime powder.
- 3). Taste a bit of the lime salt to see if the flavor is to your liking. If you prefer a stronger citrus flavor, add more packets of powdered lime one at a time, tasting between each addition until you get the flavor you like.
- 4). Pour the salt and powdered lime mixture into an airtight container. Add a pinch of the mixture to the neck of a beer bottle right after it's opened.
