How to Repair a Dodge Key Fob
- 1). Remove the case of your remote by running a flat blade, such as a knife or a slotted screwdriver, along the edge of the case and then prying it open in one spot.
- 2). Notice the location and position of the current battery, and remove it by lifting the retention clip. Insert a new battery in place of the old one, and replace the retention clip. Snap the case back together, and enter your car with the remote.
- 3). Enter your vehicle, insert your key into the ignition, close all the doors behind you and fasten the driver's seat belt.
- 4). Turn the ignition key to the "On" position. Press the "Unlock" button on your remote, and hold it down for four seconds, then press and hold the "Panic" button.
- 5). Hold both buttons for one second together, then release both. Wait for a chime to sound, then press and release both the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on your remote.
- 6). Wait for another chime, then press and release any button on your remote. Listen for a final chime indicating that you have completed the programming process; once you hear it, remove the key from the ignition.
