Serving fresh fish and shellfish daily for more than 15 years, the restaurant has won several awards for its raw bar, which offers fresh oysters on the half shell, peel-and-eat shrimp and tuna tartare. Tom's serves house-smoked seafood items, including peppered Mackerel from Maine, salmon and bluefish patés and whitefish sausage. A sushi menu is also available.
  
  Hot seafood appetizers at Tom's range from ginger shrimp served on a bed of spinach to steamed Prince Edward Island mussels. Cadieux Cafe

• Detroit's Cadieux Cafe is a French- and Belgian-inspired eatery serving fresh seafood daily from dinner through late-night. Family owned since the 1960s, Cadieux Cafe's specialty is the mussel. The restaurant serves these shellfish in a variety of preparations including steamed on the half shell, smothered in spinach, bacon and cheese and smoked. Mussel soup, mussels in marinara sauce and mussels with spicy Creole seasonings are also on the menu. Monday nights at Cadieux are "Mussel Madness" nights, where diners pay a fixed price to chow down on all the mussels they can eat.

Nami Sushi
