How to Edit a Dark Video
- 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu and select "All Programs." Scroll through the list of programs and select "Movie Maker" to open the program.
- 2). Click "Import Media." The Import Media Items window will open and display the files on your hard drive. Select your video and click "Import" to close the window. A thumbnail of the video will appear in the program's media area.
- 3). Drag the thumbnail to the bottom of the screen and position it on the Timeline.
- 4). Right-click the thumbnail in the Timeline and select "Effects" from the context menu. A window will open and display the "Add or Remove Effects" window. This window has a list of available effects on the left and a list of displayed effects on the right. The right side of the screen will be empty because you have not added any effects.
- 5). Click the "Brightness, Increase" effect in the list of available effects to highlight it. Click "Add" and the program will move that effect to the list of displayed effects. Click "Cancel" to close the window and return to the Timeline.
- 6). Click the spacebar to play the video. It will appear brighter because of the Brightness effect. Click the spacebar again after previewing the video to pause it. If the video is still too dark, repeat the previous two steps. Each time you add an additional Brightness effect to the video, it will get brighter.
- 7). Press "CTRL+P" to open the "Publish Movie" window. Click "Next" and enter a name for the updated video. Click "Next" and then "Publish" to publish the movie. The program will save your video.
