The Fantasy Job
What is your idea of the fantasy job? Is it walking into work and doing nothing all day? That would get rather boring and un-fulfilling, wouldn't it? Is it being able to make enough money to pay the bills? How about having some fun? They say all work and no play makes one a dull person.
Some feel it is being able to work around their family's schedule.
Others feel it is a matter of being able to work around their life and not life work around their job.
Many feel one must enjoy what they do otherwise going to work becomes a meaningless chore that "has" to be done.
After talking to quite a bit of people on the matter, I have come to this conclusion.
The fantasy job is in the eye of the beholder.
Meaning, it depends on the person, their wants, needs and the situation they are in presently and where they want to be in far and near future.
For example; say you have a college student busy studying and preparing for exams; their ideal work maybe not having to go out to a job.
It may very well work for them to work in the privacy of their dorm rooms or home, saving the time and cost of travel not to mention the frustration of asking for time off for exams.
Not only would they be able to bring some income working from home, they would also be able to pay their tuition on the go, avoiding that HUGE bill in the near future.
Another example may be the working mother or father.
Each wants to spend more time with their child and does not want him/her raised by the sitter.
However the bills have to be paid.
It may work out best for them to work from home.
That would solve the babysitter problem; it would save on gas and frustration of traveling to work.
It would also enable the parents to spend more time with the child.
Unfortunately many do not know they can have their cake and eat it too.
Because of the economy many companies find it more convenient to have their workers stay at home.
Some companies will provide training, computer programs and other such necessities to work from your home.
