Personal Bible Study and Private Interpretations

10
You can study the Bible for the rest of your life without the possibility of knowing what the original authors were trying to explain.
How does this affect our personal Bible study, if we really don't know what the original intent of the author was? You can ask all the questions you want to biblical scholars and church leaders without ever receiving an honest answer.
Some of the Bible verses have been manipulated and rewritten so many times, that nobody knows what the original intent of the author actually was.
If you doubt what I'm talking about, start doing some research on early Christianity and Bible scrolls.
You can also do some research on how the Bibles were actually copied and why these Bible verses were changed.
One of the best books that I found for explaining this situation was a book called," Misquoting Jesus.
" It really explains a lot about early Christianity.
Your personal interpretation probably isn't going to be any worse than someone who had been studying it for years.
If I was to read something in the Bible, become confused and need to ask some questions, who do I ask? Biblical scholars, church leaders, the Pope, which one is it going to be able to answer my questions.
Here's a shocker...
there's a good chance that any one of the scholars listed above will only be guessing or making assumptions.
They might make it sound better than I could and be a little more convincing than someone else, but the truth is, that your interpretation probably isn't going to be any worse than theirs.
You can ask as many questions as you want, but you really need to do your own research.
This is one of the best ways to advance your personal Bible study research.
