  The Marquis Theatre, located inside the Marquis Hotel, opened in 1986 and is considered one of the newest theaters on Broadway in New York City. With 1,611 seats, this theater offers patrons high-quality performances in an intimate settings. The View

• If you are looking for a restaurant with breathtaking views of Times Square, The View, located on the 47th floor of the Marquis Hotel, is just the place. Customers can take an express elevator up to New York City's only revolving restaurant, which makes a full 360-degree turn every hour. The View is open seven days a week and offers an American menu. As of January 2011, The View offers a pre-theater two-course dinner option for $63. Dress is smart casual, meaning nice dress pants or chinos for men and business pants or skirt for a woman, to name a few outfit options. Smart casual is similar to business casual. Avoid jeans if possible. During the winter months, all coats and outwear must be checked in on the third floor before entering the express elevator. Restaurant hours are from 5:30 to 10 p.m. every day except on Tuesday, when the restaurant is open from 5 to 10 p.m.
  
  

Broadway Lounge

• The Broadway Lounge, located on the eighth floor of the Marquis Hotel, offers weekly specials and entrees that average about $20 to $30 per person, as of January 2011. Diners can enjoy pub-style food while taking in the views of Times Square. The menu offers items such as the hummus appetizer for $11, a specialty flat bread pizza selection for $16 and the Broadway Three Tier, which is a combination of chicken wings, crab cakes and sliders for $45. The restaurant offers a selection of wide-screen televisions for sports enthusiasts looking to catch a game. Live piano performances are also featured on select nights. The Broadway Lounge is open daily from noon to 1 a.m.
  
  

Sofia's Restaurant

• Sofia's Restaurant is located inside the Edison Hotel. Movie lovers may recognize Sofia's, which appeared in a famous scene in "The Godfather." Sofia's offers a wide range of Italian cuisine. As of January 2011, the menu included appetizers averaging about $8.95 each and a soup of the day for $4.95. All the salads are priced under $8.95 and main entrees are $28.95 and under. Sofia's also offers a fresh fish of the day menu option. Dress is casual, and the restaurant is open daily from noon to midnight.
