How to Fix an Underdone Cake
- 1). Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2). Place the cake on a baking sheet and cover the cake with aluminum foil.
- 3). Transfer the cake on the baking sheet to the oven. Turn off the oven.
- 4). Residual heat from the oven will continue to slowly bake the cake without burning it.
- 5). Remove the cake after 10 to 15 minutes.
- 6). Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake. If if comes out clean, the cake is cooked through.
- 7). Scoop out the center of the cake with an ice cream scoop if it is still underdone and soggy or sunken.
- 8). Fill the center of the cake with berries or frost around the scooped-out portion as though frosting a tube cake.
