Warlock Arena Guide - WoW Arena Strategies

21
Warlock is a really good class in arena.
While it is not always the best in all situation (like Death Knights used to be) they are far enough powerful and flexible to get 2200+ rating in no time if they are played properly.
In this Warlock Arena Guide I will discuss the best talent, gear, and setup options for a warlock.
Talent Build Basically, you have two choice you can either run an Affliction warlock or a Destruction one.
However, I recommend you to stick to the Affliction as it is easier to play since the margin of error is much lower.
As an Affliction PvP warlock you should put 17 points in Demonology to get the Soul Link and some summoner talents.
As for the Affliction tree, you should put the rest of your point there and you can choose between Eradication, Improved Fear and Death's Embrace.
Warlock Arena Gear Due to the endless options in choosing your gear not even the most comprehensive Warlock Arena Guide can tell you, which is the best gear.
There is no such thing, it always depends on what setup you run and what strategies you use.
But, as a general guideline I recommend you to get as much Resilience as possible a healthy amount of Hit Rating and Spell penetration and then stack up as much Spell Damage and Critical Strike Rating as much you want.
Arena Team Setups 2v2 Team: I recommend you to avoid this arena bracket, as Warlocks are not so good in this bracket and because of the reward restrictions, so you will not able to get all the gear you want.
However, if you still decide to play in t 2v2, the best setups are Affliction Warlock and any healer.
It can be Holy Paladin, Restoration Druid, Discipline Priest or Restoration Shaman.
3v3 Team: This is the best setup.
If you and your teammates are enough good then you can easily skyrocket to high ratings.
However, be ware of Cleave teams (teams containing two melee, mostly a Warrior and a Death Knight, and a healer) and time your spells well and play defensively for the rest of the game.
So the most effective team combinations are the Restoration Druid, Arm Warrior and Affliction Warlock and the Discipline Priest, Death Knight and Affliction Lock.
5v5 Team: This is the trickiest bracket to discuss for my Warlock Arena Guide, as 5v5 is mostly about burst damage, so it is worth trying to play with a Destruction Warlock here.
However, you can get really high ratings if you stick to your Affliction Warlock and run a defensive team setup, which contains a Holy Paladin, a Restoration Druid, a Discipline Priest and an Arms Warrior.
