How to Troubleshoot Aprilia Scooters
- 1). Pour regular unleaded gasoline into the Aprilia scooter if it is out of fuel. The scooter does not run on diesel or leaded gasoline.
- 2). Fill the oil tank with two-stroke motor oil. If you use four-stroke motor oil, the engine will malfunction.
- 3). Check the engine coolant. Remove the front cover of the scooter. Pour a mixture of 50 percent water and 50 percent anti-freeze into a container. Pour the mixture into the tank labeled "Coolant" until the fluid reaches a level between the "Min" and "Max" fill lines.
- 4). Restart a flooded engine, which is an engine that won't run because a gasoline-rich fuel mixture has fouled the cylinder. Push the "Start" button on the control panel for a few seconds while the throttle is in the "Open" position. The engine will start up.
