How to Replace the Face Plate on a Motorola Razr
- 1). Press and hold the "End" button to turn off your Razr. Flip it over and slide off the battery cover. Remove the battery for safety.
- 2). Open the phone to expose the screen. Examine the screen to find four small rubber covers in each corner. Use a small object, such as a thumb tack, to pry off the rubber covers.
- 3). Remove the four screws beneath the covers with a T5 screwdriver. This is a small screwdriver, similar in size to those sold in eyeglass repair kits. Do not use a different type of screwdriver; if you do, you risk stripping the screw heads.
- 4). Close the phone. Gently pry up the faceplate with your hands. Pull it up carefully to remove it from the Razr. Start on top, above the camera lens, then move to the sides and then to the bottom.
- 5). Attach the new faceplate. Position it against the phone and push down firmly around the edges to snap in the clips. Open the Razr and replace the four screws. The slightly larger screws go on top; the smaller ones go on the bottom. Re-insert the small rubber covers when you're finished.
