How to Convert a Torrent Into My iPod
- 1). Download the music contained in your torrent file. In order to convert your torrent into a real media file, you must use a torrent client like BitTorrent or Transmission. Just open your torrent client and drag your torrent file onto the main window to begin your download. When the download completes, it will save directly to your hard drive.
- 2). Move your downloaded song file(s) to iTunes, Apple's official digital music software. Use your mouse to drag the downloaded music folder directly onto your iTunes icon. The song(s) will automatically transfer into your iTunes library.
- 3). Plug your iPod into your computer using your iPod USB cable. After a few seconds, your iPod will appear as a device on your hard drive, with its own icon appearing directly in the left-hand column of your iTunes browser.
- 4). Locate and select the song file(s) that you transferred into iTunes from your torrent download. Just click the "Music" tab in the left-hand column of the iTunes library, beneath the "Library" heading, and choose the song(s) from the list that appears in the main browser. To select multiple song files, just hold the "Shift" key while clicking your selections.
- 5). Drag your song selections directly onto the "iPod" icon in the iTunes browser. Your songs will copy immediately onto your iPod hard drive. If you have set your iPod settings to sync music automatically, skip this step, as iTunes will automatically filter the music onto your iPod as soon as you plug your iPod into your computer.
- 6). Eject your iPod. Click the "Eject" button to the right of the "iPod" icon and wait for the device to finish syncing. Your iPod screen will let you know when the syncing process has completed, after which you can unplug the device from your computer.
