    • 1). Lift the Tundra's hood and loosen the bolts that hold each of the battery cables to the battery terminal posts with the wrench. Lift the cables from their posts and set the negative battery cable aside. Place the ring terminal from the amp wiring kit onto the positive battery terminal. Replace the positive battery cable clamp onto the positive terminal and tighten the bolt.

    • 2). Remove the fuse from the ring terminal's fuse holder and keep it ready for later reinsertion. Plug the blue amplifier power supply cable into the ring terminal. Feed the cable through the firewall into the Toyota's passenger cabin. Move to the inside of the Tundra.

    • 3). Pull the three climate control knobs from the dashboard panel. Remove the screws behind each knob with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Push the upper end of the climate vents into the dashboard to expose the two screws at the top of the slots. Remove the screws with the screwdriver. Grab the trim panel surrounding the stereo and pull it away from the dashboard. Set the panel aside.

    • 4). Remove the two screw bolts on either side of the stereo bracket with the 10 mm socket and drive. Slide the factory stereo from the dashboard stereo dock and unplug the two stereo wiring connectors from the back of the factory stereo deck. Plug the stereo wiring connectors into the wiring harness adapter leads.

    • 5). Insert the wiring harness adapter connectors into the corresponding outlets on the back of the stock head unit. Plug the patch cables into the available wiring harness adapter leads. Feed the patch cables though the back of the Tundra's stereo dock and down to the floor on the passenger's side of the truck.

    • 6). Slide the stereo back into the stereo dock. Replace the two screw bolts on the sides of the unit with the socket and drive. Place the trim panel around the stereo and climate controls. Replace the screws at the top of the vents and at the locations of the climate control knobs. Place the knobs back onto the dashboard climate control panel

    • 7). Route the patch cables from the passenger side of the truck to the location of the amplifier. Common choices for mounting the amp are under the passenger's seat or upright behind the passenger's seat. Place plastic spacers beneath the amp mounted under the seat for proper ventilation. Plug the patch cable leads into the signal and turn-on outlets on the amplifier. See the amplifier manual for outlet locations for your specific amp.

    • 8). Route the power supply cable from the driver's side footwell, along the driver's side of the truck to the amplifier. Plug the power cable into the power-in outlet on the amplifier. Connect the grounding wire (included in the amp wiring kit) from the amplifier to a screw or bolt connected to the frame of the truck. Choose any screw or bolt less than 20 inches from the amplifier for proper grounding. Return to the Tundra's battery.

    • 9). Place the negative battery cable clamp back around the negative battery terminal. Tighten the bolt at the end of the cable with the wrench. Replace the fuse into the ring terminal fuse holder and close the hood.
