Can You Draw on Pictures with Picasa?
Instructions
1Open Picasa and browse the library for the picture you want to draw on. Double-click the image to open it in the editing window. Locate the tools tabs on the left hand side of the screen and click the icon that looks like a wrench. Choose "Edit in Creative Kit" from the options. You might get a message asking you to confirm that you want to use Creative Kit. Click "Yes" and wait for Picasa to access the component.
2
Locate the "Decorate" icon in the upper left hand portion of the editing window -- it looks like a paint roller. Click it once to open the Decorate options. Click "Doodle."
3
Create a doodling tool by choosing a brush color, size and hardness level. Use the brush to draw on your image. To draw perfectly straight lines, hold down the "Shift" key as you move the brush. Pull down the "Advanced" menu to experiment with effects like hard light, soft light or overlay. Use the "Fade" slider bar to lessen the opacity of the doodle if you wish.
4
Add any decorations you want to include -- for example, text, speech bubbles, hearts, hats or masks. Note that you will be required to apply your doodle before you can use the other features.
5
Click "Save to Picasa" when your image is complete. Choose to replace the original image or save a new copy. You will need to apply the doodle and other decorations if you haven't already done so. Picasa will save the image into the same directory from which it was first accessed. The photo will reopen in the editing window.
6
Click "Back to Library" in the upper left hand potion of your screen. Make sure the new image has been saved.
