How to Make a Gift Basket Container
- 1). Place filler, such as tissue paper, fabric or shredded paper, in the container to cover the bottom and cushion the gift. Add as much filler as needed to raise the gifts and make them visible outside of the basket.
- 2). Put the main gift in the center of the container and place smaller gifts around it, adding filler as needed to raise them to a visible height. Arrange the small gifts, such as soaps, candles, ornaments or toys, so the basket looks attractive when viewed from all angles. Stuff additional filler in between the gifts to keep them in place.
- 3). Place the filled container inside a large cellophane bag. Gather the bag at the top and tie it with a ribbon. Or put the basket in the center of a large sheet of cellophane or tulle and pull up all sides, gathering at the top and tying it shut with a ribbon.
- 4). Tie ribbons and attach bows to the basket. Coordinate the colors to the filler in the container, or select metallic ribbon or natural raffia for finishing touches.
- 5). Add embellishments such as silk flowers or ornaments to the basket for additional flair. Attach them to the ribbon tie or hang them separately with ribbon.
- 6). Place a gift tag or card on the wrapped basket, attaching it to the ribbon at the top or taping it to the basket wrap.
