Better Marketing With Twitters New Update
Updates in all social networks for better marketing
I spent the last few hours reading about trends to do better marketing and learning on the new technology and tools available to small business owners, because there are too many small business owners who have no clue on what to do about the marketing area of their business, let alone how to do better marketing with social media, via internet, via mobile, and with videos. Well, its no wonder small business owners dont know much about how to use the tools online and gain access to better marketing techniques, there is so much and the material to learn would fill libraries, no one, except us, marketing nudges, have time to scan through the material and pick the best, and we do it because there are many of us who are constantly trying one thing after another and giving feedback, when enough feedback is built around specific techniques, thats what we know something work.. and how!
Well, the article I recently found on Hubspot titled: Twitter Update Makes it Easier for Users to Discover Your Marketing Content, which you can find the link in my blog (see authors bio) was full of great information and very thought provoking, but when you look at is as a business owner, it wont make much sense, there are too many things in the article that many techies would easily understand, but a business owner who is busy trying to make ends meet day to day and ensuring the business is turning a profit, has no idea of much of the lingo used in this article. And I am not saying they need to learn, actually what they are doing is exactly what they need to do, focus on the business, and one area of the business is marketing and it is crucial to have a good and always a better marketing plan, a budget of 10% to 15%, and a constant rehabilitation of the marketing techniques.
By rehabilitation of techniques I'm referring to so many things a business owner can do to market the business, try new things constantly, one month try balloons, another month try a walking sign (you know, hire a teenager for a few hours to hold a sign at a busy intersection-safety first), another month try a special discount or free item through social media or a big sign on the window with an invitation to join a club through mobile phones to receive specials, and the list goes on and on.
There are tons of things businesses can do, one important idea that seems to always be forgotten is join forces with another business in the area and offer a combined special. Yes, it requires thought, building relations, and a lot of work, but in the end, the benefits, besides bringing in new customers and sales, are that a business owner gets to know who their prospects and clients are, what they like, love, hate, and when its the best time to reach them.
The end result from a good strategy is better marketing and a profiting business that could be the envy of the other businesses.
Just put your noodle to work and see the results. If you cant handle it, talk to a marketing expert and get them to talk to you about these ideas. One way for business owners to constantly learn is Twitter, they can use the discover tab and find out what others are doing, see what works, and narrow the choices when its time to making decisions, whether it is to pay an expert or to do it yourself, youll know what goes in and what kind of results to expect.
I love what Twitter is doing and I hope that my interaction with Twitter will increase because what I understood is that my feeds on the discover tab will be more relevant to the items, topics, and people I am most interested in knowing.
