How to Finish Enamel Paints
- 1). Sand the surface of your project fully. Apply border tape and an acrylic primer before finishing with enamel paint.
- 2). Use a spray gun to apply the enamel paint, if one is available, for the best final sheen.
- 3). Use foam rollers -- one large, one small -- if a spray gun is unavailable. This will provide a brushstroke-free appearance.
- 4). Use a paintbrush, if necessary, in perfectly straight strokes with the tips of a high-quality brush. This will make the strokes less noticeable in the finished product.
- 5). Apply at least two thin coats, finishing with light pressure.
