How to Treat Bonsai Tree Fungus
- 1). Remove and destroy infected leaves when you notice them. Destroying them will help stop the infection from spreading.
- 2). Grab the chemicals. Once you have removed all infected leaves, spray the plant with fungicides. Do not mist plants in direct sunlight because it may burn the leaves.
- 3). Destroy mildew. Once a leaf is infected with mildew it cannot be cured, and the affected leaves and branches must be removed. Spray plant with a mineral fungicide. Use sulfur in the spring to help prevent mildew.
- 4). Get rid of rust. Rust is a fungal infection that causes raised, brownish-orange areas on the underside of the leaves. When you notice rust developing on the plant, remove any diseased leaves and spray with a fungicide.
