How to Copy Music From One iPod to Another iPod

    • 1). Open iTunes. Connect the iPod's USB cable to the device and the computer. Wait for the iPod's name to appear under "Devices" in the iTunes left pane.

    • 2). Click "Transfer Purchases from iPod'" under the "File" menu. If requested, click "Authorize Computer" under the "Store" menu and enter the requested ID and password. Click "OK" to copy music to the computer. Remove the iPod from the USB cable when finished.

    • 3). Connect another iPod to the USB cable. Wait for the iPod's name to appear under "Devices." Click "Music" under the "Library" section. Click the "Date Added" tab in the main iTunes screen to list the most recently added songs first. Click on the first song that you wish to add to the new iPod. Shift-click on the last song that you wish to add. Drag the highlighted songs to the iPod listed under "Devices." Remove the iPod's USB cable when finished.
