Trunk-mounted Racks

• 1). Determine the rack's load-bearing points. Make sure that its feet rest on structured portions of the trunk lid and bumper. The body panels should not visibly flex when the rack is installed.
  
  
• 2). Test-fit the rack, making sure it clears any spoilers and will not scratch the paint.
  
  
• 3). Attach the rack to the car's trunk and bumper following the manufacturer's instructions.
  
  
• 4). Attach the bikes to the rack following the manufacturer's instructions.
  
  

Hitch-mounted Racks

• 1). Have a Class I receiver hitch professionally installed.
  
  
• 2). Insert the bike rack into the receiver hitch and secure, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  
  
• 3). Attach the bikes to the rack, following the manufacturer's instructions.
