  Federal Hill is a historic district within Baltimore, located close to many attractions including the Maryland Science center, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and the Baltimore Convention Center. Several major hotels are located in this area, and public transportation makes getting to the restaurants, shops and bars easy. Federal Hill is located in south Baltimore and combines commercial, retail and residential zoning to create an interesting neighborhood.
  
  

Eight by Ten Club

• The Eight by Ten Club is located on East Cross Street. This bar promotes live music and each Tuesday night, amateur musicians can use the stage to perform for the audience. The club provides all the equipment for the performers. On Wednesday night the bar charges its patrons $5 to listen to five different bands.
  
  The bar features rock and roll, funk, and the blues, and it caters to students. As of September 2010, the Happy Hour drinks cost $3. The club has a springboard dance floor.

• MaGerk's Pub in Federal Hill serves drinks and is famous for its Philadelphia Cheese Steak sandwiches. This pub offers a broad menu of sandwiches, salads, and hamburgers. They also provide different types of sushi and shrimp. The pub also hosts special events for all kinds of parties and even fundraisers.
  
  The pub is the designated sports bar for Ohio State University fans, and has 14 flat panel televisions throughout the restaurant and bar to watch the football games.

• The Mad River Bar and Grill has both a restaurant and a grill. This is an upscale pub and offers an eclectic menu with soups, wraps, Panini and sandwiches, as well as entrees and sides. The Mad River Bar and Grill has a wide variety of beer on tap, as well as wine and drinks from their full service bar. The grill has a separate bar and eating area and a separate room for private parties. A large television and pool table dominate the room.
