Classic Windows Games

• Windows Vista includes the classic games Minesweeper, Solitaire, Hearts, Free Cell and Spider Solitaire. The goal of Minesweeper is to locate the hidden mines on the game board without clicking on one and exploding all of the hidden mines. With Solitaire and its spinoffs Free Cell and Spider Solitaire, the objective is to move the cards from the dealt hands into piles in ascending or descending order. Hearts pits your skills against three computer players as you try to avoid taking any hearts or the Queen of Spades.
  
  

Mahjong Titans

• Mahjong Titans is a solitaire game played with tiles. The object of the game is to remove matching pairs until there are no tiles left on the game board. You can select from six layouts that vary in difficulty. Mahjong Titans also has four tile designs and numerous backgrounds for you to use. The typical playing time for Mahjong is 10 to 30 minutes. However, this game is not included in the Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Starter editions.
  
  

Chess Titans

• Chess Titans offers players a virtual atmosphere in which to play chess. This can be a one player or two-player game. You can customize your game board by choosing between a wooden, marble and porcelain look and feel. The game board also can rotate freely. The typical playing time for Chess Titans is 10 to 60 minutes. However, this game is not included in the Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Starter editions.
  
  

InkBall

• The object of InkBall is to bounce colored balls into holes of the corresponding color. You accomplish this by drawing ink lines with your mouse or a tablet pen to deflect the balls and steer them towards the proper hole. If a ball goes into the wrong colored hole, the game is over. This game generally takes 1 to 10 minutes. However, this game is not included in the Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Starter editions.
  
  

Purple Place

• Purple Place is actually three games wrapped into one. These games are Comfy Cakes, Purple Shop and Purple Pairs. In Comfy Cakes, you must make multiple cakes to order with the correct color, size, shapes, batters, fillings and decorations. In order to succeed at Purple Shop, you need to match the character Purple's face with her twin hidden behind a curtain by selecting hair, eyes, nose and lips. Purple Pairs is a classic matching game set to a time limit.
