There is Purpose on the Other Side of Pain
Many of us have faced unfortunate situations in our lives where we have had so much put on us that we just felt like we would break. Maybe it was a divorce, loss of job, or loss of a loved one. I have been faced with struggles and tragedy and I remembered asking God so many times if he could just give me a glimpse of where my life was headed, so that I could know why I was going through so much.
When my mother passed away suddenly at the age of 51, I just knew that was going to be the thing that was going to shatter me emotionally, and it almost did, but I made a decision that some how I had to let my circumstances make me and not break me. I had to find inner strength and press my way through the pain to get to my purpose. When our purpose is hidden within our pain, it is sometimes so difficult to see, because all we see are the clouds and not the rainbow behind the clouds. We can't focus on brighter days, and it takes all that we have in us to gain strength to move towards victory.
When I was faced with my painful situations, I read my Bible, I fasted and I prayed, and it seemed like the harder I fought to stay strong, the harder the enemy fought me! One day it clicked, of course he will fight us when we are going through our pain, that is because he knows what God has planned for us during the healing phase. Sometimes the enemy knows our potential even more than we know it, so he has to fight us extra hard to try to keep us from finding out our true purpose, because he knows that once we find out our true purpose we will be a unstoppable force! It is when we are going through our pain that the enemy thinks that we are the weaker link, not realizing that underneath the pain is a soldier...a warrior...a SURVIVOR! He forgets that in between the pain and the tears, we are still a praiser! It is something about when you praise God through the pain, and when you declare that your pain will make you better and not bitter that gets God's attention. Not only does it get God's attention, but it also paralyzes the plans of the enemy!
The more we praise God during the pain, the more our purpose is revealed. Until one day our purpose is bigger than our pain! It is an awesome thing when we can look back at what we had to go through, and say God now I understand! When we have divine purpose, what we have to go through to get to it, is not pretty! The birthing process is painful, but that is only because God is preparing us to do something awesome, something bigger than we could even imagine and he is shaping us into what he wants us to be. God is molding us and equipping us to be "More than Conquerors," God is preparing us for our destiny and it takes a survivor to be able to fulfill the calling of God. It takes someone that doesn't crumble under pressure to go and help bring other's out of bondage. It is when we have mastered dealing with our pain spiritually that God shows us the bigger picture of our life.
If we think back to everything that we have been through, we can usually say that it made us stronger and it made us better. We can usually see how going through the pain was not in vain. Our purpose in God will override anything that the enemy tries to bring up against us. Pain is real and yes, it does hurt bad when we go through unfortunate situations, but don't let those unfortunate situations control you...you control them! Face them, and let them know that my purpose is greater than my pain, and on the other side of this pain lies my purpose, so I will navigate my way through this pain to find out what God has in store for my life!
