How to Remove Scratches From a Plastic Fender
- 1). Rinse the plastic fender with warm water to remove any dirt and debris.
- 2). Place plastic filler on fender scratches, using a putty knife. Afterward, smooth out the putty with the knife, so that the entire scratch is filled in. Let the filler sit in the scratch for at least 24 hours.
- 3). Sand the scratch with 50-grit sandpaper. Sand until the filler is smooth down to be even with the rest of the plastic.
- 4). Buff and polish the scratch with plastic polish using a non-abrasive hand towel. Buff until the scratch completely disappears.
