Hi, My name is Nicki. I'm 21-year-old lesbian from Nebraska. Now, my question is...Why is it necessary to come out? I'm not ashamed of being a lesbian. If someone were to ask me directly "Are you gay?" I'd say yeah. But sitting my family down, and saying "Hey, I'm a lesbian...I like women" is just kind of...uhm weird. You know?
