The street known as Las Ramblas (sometimes La Rambla or Les Rambles) is actually a series of streets, each called 'La Rambla de something'). This page is about the section called La Rambla de Sant Josep.

This is the part of Las Ramblas with all the flower stalls, hence why it is also known as La Rambla de les Flors.

What to Do on Rambla de de Sant Josep

The famous Boqueria market (also called Mercado de Sant Josep and Mercat Sant Josep) is on the right-hand side (when walking towards the sea), where you can prevent travelers' scurvy by buying some great fruit juices and mixed fruit salads as well as checking out the other weird and wonderful foodstuffs the Spanish have in their kitchen.
Antigua Casa Figueres is the ornate, mosaicked building at number 83, on the corner with c/Petxina (just after La Boqueria).

Placa del Pi is a square to the left of La Rambla de Sant Josep (again, when going seaward), a pleasant area often with market stalls in front of the church Iglesia del Pi (Reach it from Carrer Cardenal Casañas, which heads diagonally back from the junction by Metro Liceu.

Carrer de l'Hospital, which heads off in the other direction from Metro Liceu, is a major thoroughfare into the Raval area. The Teatro Romea is found on this street, as is La Capella de l'Antic Hospital de la Santa Creu, not to be confused with Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau.
