Communists in Congress and Capitalists in China - Who Knew?
As we approach the 60-year anniversary of Communist China, it is really laughable as to what's happened in the last 3-decades and rather unbelievable what's happened in the last fifteen-years.
You see, although the Chinese often consider themselves communists, or at least the old military guard does, China has showed tremendous capitalist spirit.
Meanwhile, in the United States of America we have more and more of our Congressmen, and Senators pushing us closer and closer to communism, and pushing us further away from capitalism.
It seems rather ridiculous that the United States which has become the greatest superpower in the world, and has economically outpaced every other nation and even outpaced our second-place rival for GDP by a factor of three using that capitalist spirit, is so willing to throw it all away now for some Pie-in-the-Sky promise of socialism.
Or attempt to turn us into a nation whose government is so large it controls every aspect of life; which we would recognize as communism.
Often, it is said that people don't always learn from their mistakes, but certainly our political leadership should be listening, and learning from our successes, which were derived solely from using capitalism as the vehicle.
Capitalism works, and socialism and communism doesn't; history has shown that over and over again with the rise and fall of many a great nation.
From a philosophical standpoint, and still refusing to give Carl Marx his due, I do not believe that capitalism's final destination is communism.
It amazes me that people call themselves progressive as they push socialistic and communistic viewpoints.
That's not progressive that's the opposite of progression, it's taking us back as far into the past as we could ever imagine going.
It is indeed dooming us to repeat that which does not work.
How anyone could call themselves a progressive and speak of that type of nonsense is completely beyond me.
But hey, I'm getting quite a kick out of listening to all the political rhetoric, and watching our current present period's history.
Every time I hear a socialist-liberal explain their socialist plans, while refusing to use the word socialism.
It's really funny, except for the fact that they are actually serious.
Who voted for these people anyway? Please consider all this.
