How to Make a Tornado Craft
- 1). Fill one two-liter bottle about 2/3 full of water.
- 2). Add three drops of dish-washing liquid and the desired amount of food coloring.
- 3). Screw the bottle connector onto the top of the filled bottle and screw the empty bottle upside-down onto the other end of the bottle connector. If you are using a washer and tape, place the washer on top of the filled bottle, position the empty bottle upside down on top of the washer and secure the bottles together with duct tape.
- 4). Turn the bottles over so the filled one is on top.
- 5). Swirl the bottle quickly in a circular motion to create rotation in the water. A tornado will form in the water, quickening the water flow between the bottles.
- 6). Repeat by turning the bottles back over again.
