It was originally designed as an interactive monument, and people were allowed to bathe and splash around in its waters, unfortunately, due to health and safety practices, that has now been stopped which is a great shame, because it looked like a lot of fun, and something that Diana herself would surely have loved.
Speakers Corner is another popular attraction within the park. Here, people stand on the plinth and make speeches, they talk about anything and everything, and everybody is allowed to speak. It was first set up as an area where people were allowed to speak freely, without any ramifications from the law; it forms part of the great British tradition of freedom of speech.
