How to Fix "BOOTMGR is Missing" on an Acer Aspire 1350
- 1). Insert the Windows XP installation disc into the optical drive on your Acer Aspire 1350 and then close the drive.
- 2). Turn the computer on and wait for the computer to boot from the CD. Wait for the "Welcome To Setup" screen appears on the computer's display.
- 3). Press the "R" key to repair the system.
- 4). Use the arrow keys to highlight the Windows XP operating system as the OS that you want to repair from the list of operating systems on the screen. Unless you have a dual boot system, this will be the only OS on the hard drive. Press the "Enter" button.
- 5). Enter your administrator password into the prompt if prompted. Press "Enter" to get into the Recovery Console.
- 6). Use the arrow keys to highlight the "Startup Repair" option in the list of repairs on the screen.
- 7). Press "Enter" to start the repair, then wait for the repair to finish. Wait for the computer to restart. When the system restarts, the BOOTMGR will be reloaded on your computer.
