How to Get Permanent Corset Piercings

42
    • 1). Do a lot of research on permanent corset piercings before you decide to get one. Look up everything you can. Then call around to various body piercing stores and ask if they do surface piercings.

    • 2). Ask what kind of body piercing equipment and materials they use. The only proper answers should be surface bars or dermal anchors. There are very few cases where neither of these are appropriate and tygon bars must be used. Research dermal anchors and surface bars extensively to find which suits you best.

    • 3). Ask about price. A good piercing store will not charge you more than $400 for a corset piercing, no matter the size. Especially if you offer to return after it has healed to pose for portfolio photos.

    • 4). Ask about the success rate with surface piercings. Do not expect a high number. There is a large rejection rate with surface piercings and a low number of people who care for them properly. 20% is about average.

    • 5). Ask if they have ever done a corset piercing. Again, don't expect a yes and if they do say yes, don't expect them to say they've done a lot of them. Corset piercings, especially permanent corset piercings, are rare.

    • 6). When you have decided on a body piercing store, make an appointment. Arrive early and ask to see photos of healed surface piercings. Do NOT accept photos of fresh piercings

    • 7). Watch the piercing professional remove the body piercing equipment from their sterile packages. Do not allow them to be removed in another room and then brought to you. Sterility is very important.

    • 8). Take the position that the piercer wants. Many will want you to lay down and many others will prefer you lean over the back of a chair.

    • 9). Brace yourself and breathe. Try not to move.

    • 10

Ask for as many breaks as you need. A good piercer will stop as many times as you need and provide fluids(preferably something with a little sugar, such as tea) when asked.

    • 11

Put on your loose shirt, pay and leave. Don't forget to tip if you like it! The piercer just spent a lot of time on you since he had to draw the corset first.

    • 12

Clean the piercings twice daily with antibacterial or antimicrobial soap.

    • 13

Use sea salt soaks sparingly unless you think you are developing an infection.

    • 14

After the corset piercing has healed, pick out a pretty ribbon and get ready to wear lots of backless shirts.
