How to Create a Santa Letter
- 1). Get holiday themed stationery. Get special holiday stationery, preferably with a Santa Claus, elf, or reindeer theme, so the child will not recognize your personal stationery.
- 2). Use unfamiliar handwriting. Alter your handwriting or have a friend of the family hand-write the words for you.
- 3). Personalize your letter. Refer to things your child is involved in. Include details like the child's age, grade and the name of her school. Refer to specific acts of kindness or good behavior.
- 4). Get a Christmas themed postmark. For example, some post offices will postmark a letter "North Pole." Visit the Christmas Letter Tips website for a list of post offices with special postmarks and enclose your letter in an envelope to mail it marked "ATTN: Christmas Re-Mailing."
