How to Arrange Toolbars Horizontally on Top of My Desktop in Vista
- 1). Right-click on empty space in the taskbar on the Windows Vista desktop and click "Properties." Click the "Toolbars" tab and click to add a check mark beside each toolbar you wish to include on the taskbar.
- 2). Click the "Taskbar" tab. If the "Lock the Taskbar" item in the window that appears has a check mark beside it, click the "Lock the Taskbar" item to remove the check mark.
- 3). Click the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" check box if you prefer to see the taskbar in front of other toolbars in the same space. Click the "Auto-hide the taskbar" check box if you want the taskbar to disappear when not in use. Click the "OK" button.
- 4). Place the mouse cursor on Vista taskbar space that is empty. Press and hold down the left mouse button.
- 5). Move the mouse cursor to the top of the Windows Vista desktop and release the left mouse button.
- 1). Position the mouse cursor on an application toolbar located on the Windows Vista desktop.
- 2). Click and hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to empty space at the top of the desktop. When you move the mouse cursor the toolbar will follow.
- 3). Release the left mouse button when the toolbar is positioned according to your preference.
