How to Draw a Hanging Monkey
- 1). Draw a vertical oval, the top end of which points slightly to the right. This is the monkey's body.
- 2). Draw a curly, S-shaped line out of the top end of the oval. Start your pencil at the oval and then move up. At the top of the S, loop back to come back down the other side and stop when the pencil reaches the top of the oval again. This is the monkey's tail.
- 3). Draw a stick through the top loop of the S. This is the stick the monkey is hanging from.
- 4). Draw a smaller oval (roughly one-third the size of the first oval) at the bottom end of the monkey's body. This is the monkey's head.
- 5). Draw two curved lines connecting the head to the body--this is the slender neck.
- 6). Draw two backwards S-shaped lines more than half way down the right side of the body. Start at the body and move out. When you reach the end of the S shapes, loop the S shapes back to the body. These are the arms.
- 7). Turn the paper so that the monkey appears to be laying on his stomach. Draw two backwards S shapes coming out of the body near the tail. Loop the S back to the body and then stop--these are the legs.
