How to Search for a Group Policy

    • 1). Click the "Start" button, the "Administrative Tools" folder and the "Group Policy Management" link to open the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC). Double-click the "Plus" sign to expand the list of domains you want to search.

    • 2). Double-click the "Domains" option, right-click on "Domain," then select the "Search" option from the drop-down menu. The "Search for Group Policy Objects" dialog box appears.

    • 3). Select a "Domain" or the "All domains shown in this forest" option from the "Search for GPOs" in this Domain box.

    • 4). Select an "Object Type" from the Search Item box and a "Condition" from the Condition box.

    • 5). Select a "Value" to filter your search results in the Value box, then click the "Add" button.

    • 6). Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until you fill the search criteria, then click the "Search" button to locate a Group Policy.
