Hyperactive Thyroid Symptoms
- Nervousness, anxiety and hyperactivity can be caused by hyperthyroidism.
- Patients may experience a fast heart rate (over 100 beats per minute), atrial arrhythmia and heart palpitations.
- Weight loss despite increased appetite is a common symptom of hyperactive thyroid. Diarrhea may also occur.
- Increased perspiration along with warm, moist skin can be signs of a hyperactive thyroid.
- Muscle weakness, tremors and heat intolerance are also possible hyperthyroidism symptoms. Since the body is thrown into overdrive by a hyperactive thyroid, patients may begin to experience fatigue if the condition goes untreated.
