Tianmen Fox Fairy Show Zhangjiajie
With the high mountains and deep valleys as the stage background and Known as the world's first real-scene musical drama, Tianmen Fox Fairy was first put on at the foot of Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie in September, 2009. With an investment of 120 million Yuan and a cast of 530, the wonderful drama has attracted about 150,000 travelers from home and abroad since its debut performance. The drama integrates the elements of folk music and modern art, is very attractive for its charming culture. This show is a romantic love story of a Woodman who making a living by chopping woods and a Fox Fairy.
The fox fairy, different from other foxes, she never hunts human and is very kind and incredibly beautiful, she is waiting for her soul mate. She was arranged to marry the king of the fox empire but she doesn't loves him. Instead, she gradually falls in love with this kind and diligent man so she uses her supernatural power and shapes into a woman. Everyday, she sneaks into his house and does all the housework and makes a delicate dinner for him. Finally he finds her and they start to write a story about happy life together but only suffer from the cruel reject of all the other villagers because a lot of villagers and children were hunted by fox fairies, as well as the trouble made by the fox empire.
Combining the local music, the indigenous life style and the ancient love story, with the marvelous valley as the background, this show is really wonderful. When you come to enjoy it, you can listen to sweet singings, admire colorful lighting scene, and experience the strong folk custom of Tujia and Miao minorities.
