How to Put a Fraud Alert on Your Cedit Report

29
    • 1). Visit the "Alerts Online" page on the Equifax homepage.

    • 2). Choose the radio button next to "Initial 90 Day Fraud Alert" and then complete the fields provided, making sure to answer all the questions as accurately as possible.

    • 3). Read the "Terms of Use" information, select "I Accept" and then click on the "Submit" button.

Upon submitting the form, if your information is correct, Equifax will instantly approve your application and place a fraud alert on your credit report immediately. Equifax will notify TransUnion and Experian of the fraud alert; you do not need to submit a fraud alert to each individual credit bureau.
