How to Edit the Registry Key File From Windows 7 Ultimate
- 1). Load "regedit" by clicking "Start," typing "regedit" into the "Search" and then clicking on the "regedit" icon on screen. The program will load in "windowed" mode on your monitor.
- 2). Locate the registry key file you would like to edit. You can browse through all of the entries in your registry using the folder hierarchy on the left side of the screen, or you can use the "Search" command to search for one by name or keyword.
- 3). Double-click on a registry key file. This will open a box allowing you to edit it. Make the necessary changes using your keyboard.
- 4). Click "OK." This will save your edits to your Windows 7 Ultimate registry key file.
