Beatriz Galindo Biography:

A tutor of Queen Isabella - and possibly her advisor as well - Beatriz Galindo was a professor at Salamanca, teaching philosophy, rhetoric and medicine.

She wrote in Latin, producing poetry, commentary on Aristotle and other classical figures.

Queen Isabella appointed Beatriz Galindo to tutor her daughters, including Catherine of Aragon, Maria, and Juana, later known as Juana the Mad.

Beatriz Galindo also founded hospitals and schools in Spain, including the Hospital of the Holy Cross in Madrid.
