Specifications of a Citation XLS
- The Citation XLS is powered by rear-mounted, twin-turbofan Pratt & Whitney PW545B jet engines. The high-pressure core engines generate 3,975 pounds of thrust apiece and consume .709 pounds of fuel per hour. The XLS can cruise at 431 knots with a range of 1,961 miles at an altitude of 43,000 feet.
- The jet is controlled by the Honeywell Primus 1000 Integrated Avionics and Flight Guidance System consolidated into three liquid crystal display screens, including the controllers and mode selector. The Honeywell automatic flight control system has autopilot, yaw damper, pilot to copilot synchronization and built-in system monitoring. Communication is by Honeywell Primus II Radio.
- The 18.7-foot-long by 5.7-foot-high cabin has dual air-conditioning systems and can hold nine passengers. The luggage compartment contains 80 cubic feet of storage space.
