How To Eat On The Run And What Choices To Make

11
Time is of the essence when you don't have any.
Meal planning is something more and more families are running out of time to do.
Getting the family home from school, off to the extra curricular activities, home, showered, and into bed.
Don't forget to squeeze in dinner.
Our meals have become more accustomed to a faster paced lifestyle that our bodies cannot keep up with.
Fast food has become a commonplace practice in our "on the go" lives.
So much to the point that Fast food restaurants have altered some of their menus to keep their audiences happy.
Salads, apple slices and milk are now more prevalent on the menu than ever before.
But what we don't stop to think about is all of the preservatives that go into those foods so that they can be made, stored, frozen, shipped, frozen and defrosted or fried.
Many of these preservatives can be directly linked to the increase in childhood obesity, and further on even migraines.
If you do eat junk food, consider when you do.
How does your body react? Is there an increase in bowel movements and stomach cramps? What about headaches, are they more prevalent? If you are not experiencing these than chances are that your body has already become readily in tune with the fats and grease associated with these foods.
That is not good.
Over time, the body breaks these down and it becomes "saddle-bags", "love handles", and "tire-tummy".
What are those? That is when you body has so much excess fat that it no longer knows where to store it.
These deposits are than transported to the abdominal area of the body where they sit, and wait.
With no exercise and a lack of water, the increase for the risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular diseases increases phenomenally.
Not everyone can grab the running shoes and hit the boardwalk, but small changes to start make a big difference.
Grabbing a glass of water instead of juice is just the beginning.
The increase in water will help to flush out some of the extra sugar that is still around the kidneys.
Celery or a small sandwich before going to a restaurant just a little to "tide you over" is best.
The best restaurant tip? Eat your salad last.
After a large dinner at a restaurant, eating the salad last assists your body and increases the enzymes required to break down foods.
You will leave the restaurant with a nice full feeling, instead of an "I ate too much" feeling, and it will also assist your body by increasing enzymes to break it down.
