Unico 2,4-D Lo-V Ester Weed Killer Instructions
- 1). Wear protective clothing while applying 2,4-D Lo-V Ester Weed Killer. The manufacturer recommends long pants and long sleeves, chemical-resistant gloves, closed-toe shoes and socks, goggles and a chemical-resistant apron.
- 2). Add 15 gallons of water to a low-volume spray tank for each acre you intend to treat with 2,4-D Lo-V Ester Weed Killer.
- 3). Mix 1 pint of herbicide with the water in the tank. Agitate it well and spray small-grain crops to eliminate weeds. Use the same concentration on cornfields to prevent weed seeds from sprouting and at preharvest.
- 4). Dilute ½ pint per 15 gallons of water to spray any weeds that emerge in cornfields during the growing season.
- 5). Spray ornamental turf with 1 pint of diluted herbicide. Use sufficient water to cover 1 acre of perennial grass affected by weeds.
- 6). Dilute 1 pint of herbicide in enough water to cover an acre to control broadleaf weeds in grass crops being raised for seeds, if the weeds are young. Increase the quantity of herbicide to up to 4 pints to kill mature annual and perennial weeds. Mix the water-herbicide blend well and spray the field. Treat grass seed crops in spring or fall only.
