How to Get Rid of Guadeloupe Cucumber Vines

5
    • 1). Grasp the Guadeloupe cucumber vine, and follow it downward until you identify the location where it emerges from the soil. Cut the vine approximately 1 inch above the ground. Repeat to cut down any other Guadeloupe vines.

    • 2). Bag up all the cut stems, and throw them into the trash.

    • 3). Fill a garden sprayer with an herbicide that contains glyphosate as the primary active ingredient. Read the herbicide instructions carefully, and dilute the chemical with water as instructed.

    • 4). Put on work gloves and safety glasses to protect yourself from back spray.

    • 5). Aim the nozzle of the sprayer at the cut portions of the Guadeloupe cucumber, and spray them until they are soaked. Concentrate the herbicide only on the stumps and not on the ground around them.

    • 6). Monitor the cut stumps for regrowth weekly, and apply herbicide again if any green color develops.
