How to Install a Bell Bike Rack Trunk Mount
- 1). Pull the two tubes with padding on them away from each other to open up the rack. Turn the rack so that the padding is face down on the bottom of the rack tubes.
- 2). Open your trunk slightly and hold it open as you place the rack on top of the trunk lid so that the padding is flat against the trunk lid surface.
- 3). Take the two straps attached to the end furthest from the rear of the car and slide the clips on the end of each in the space between the trunk lid and the area of the trunk just below the rear window. Make sure the clips clip onto the trunk lid edge. Pull the strap through each clip until the strap is taut.
- 4). Take the straps closest to the rear of the car and pull them down to the bottom edge of the lowest point on the trunk lid near the bumper. Snap the clips onto this section of the lid and pull the strap through the clip adjuster until each strap is taut.
- 5). Close the trunk and grasp the rack.Try to move it around. If it slides around, pull the strap tighter and ensure that the clips are spaced apart so that each clip is lined up with a section of the frame.
