  The Toronto Sun noted in its coverage of the 2010 Oktoberfest, "an estimated 6.4 million visitors attended the 2010 Oktoberfest in Munich, but that wasn't a record. The 7.1 million who turned out in 1985 is still tops." The paper also noted that approximately 7 million liters of beer were consumed and about 15% of the crowd were tourists. Heavy drinkers at Oktoberfest are called "Bierleichen" which means "beer corpses."
