Using Orchids for Weddings It's hard to think of a tropical wedding without the orchid.
They are among the most beloved flower for weddings because they symbolize perfection and great beauty.
Wedding orchids are also very expensive so consider buying them bulk from a grower for you big day.
Another way to keep cost down is paring orchids with other flowers,they look stunning mixed with dahlias, roses or tulips for your centerpiece or bouquet.
The cymbidium orchid species is the most common for weddings.
Their large waxy flowers hold up extremely well in hot weather.
The Phalaenopsis orchid is the species that is used in the long cascading white bridal bouquets you will often see in very elegant weddings.
Other types of orchids to consider using in your wedding- all are lovely in bouquets and centerpieces.
These guys come in many colors and styles.
Dendrobium Vanda Cymbidium Mokara Use these orchids for gorgeous bridal hairpieces, boutonnieres and corsages.
You can scatter them on tables for a touch of elegance, have them cascade over an arbor or display them individually in beautiful bud vases.
