How to Use EXpressToll
- 1). Create an EXpressToll account on their website (see Resources below). You will need to create login information, including a username and password you can remember. If you are not active on the Internet, call (888) 946-3470 to create an account. You can also go directly to the EXpressToll office or to a number of different stores to activate your account. This way you will have your transponder immediately without waiting. You need a credit card to purchase in person. You can also fax a request to EXpressToll (303) 537-3404.
- 2). Go on the Internet to check your balance and reload your transponder. Be sure your license plate numbers are accurate to avoid violations (see Resources below).
- 3). Use your EXpressToll account and verify it is working properly. Go to the website or call the information line listed above to see if your tolls are registering properly. If not, check the transponder's positioning and be sure you are driving in the proper lanes. If you have an external transponder, make sure it is attached to your bumper properly. Be sure your windshield is compatible with the type of transponder you have. If you are getting a lot of violations, it's possible you need a different type of transponder.
- 4). Reload your account or have it automatically reload from a credit card when your balance falls below a certain amount. This is especially crucial if you use the toll roads frequently.
- 5). Sign up for the rewards program for using EXpressToll. This will give you rewards, not just discounts, for using the toll roads. Log in to your account to see your current reward status.
