    • 1). Determine the location where the projector will be set up. The projector should face a blank wall or screen.

    • 2). Use a stud finder to find the exact locations of the studs in your ceiling. Measure the distance between each floor joist or stud. Use the distance between each floor joist to determine the length of the plywood board.

    • 3). Measure the dimensions of the projector. The width of the projector is the width of the plywood board.

    • 4). Add 3 inches to 4 inches to the measurements acquired for the space between the two floor joists and the width of the projector to determine the measurements of the plywood board.

    • 5). Cut a piece of plywood to the measurements acquired with a table saw.

    • 6). Make marks in each corner of the plywood board that mirror the distance between the two floor joists. The distance between each mark should be equal to the space between the floor joists.

    • 7). Drill a hole at each mark with a drill bit the same size as the eye bolts.

    • 8). Hold the board against the ceiling in the desired location and use a pencil to make marks on the ceiling where the holes have been drilled in the plywood board.

    • 9). Drill 2mm to 3mm pilot holes in the ceiling at each mark with a drill.

      Insert the four eye screws into the ceiling at each mark.

      Open a 225-lap link connector with a pair of needle-nose pliers. Attach the lap link connector to the eye screw in the ceiling. Attach the eye bolt to the lap link connector and close the connector with the pliers. Repeat the procedure for the remaining lap link connectors and eye bolts.

      Attach the plywood rack by inserting the board through the eye bolts. Thread the nuts to each eye bolt to secure the board to the eye bolts.

      Place the projector on the rack and test the projector for viewing quality. Adjust the settings on the projector as needed. Run the cords through the back of the rack.
